Food and beverage, lot by lot. Recipes, expiry dates and orders in one system.

The challenge

What slows food & beverage down.

01Expiry and waste

Stock that expires before it is sold is a direct loss. Oldest stock must leave first.

02Lot traceability

When a supplier reports a problem, you must quickly find which lots went to which customers.

03Cold chain and storage zones

Chilled, frozen and ambient products live in different areas and need to be kept apart in the records.

04Recipes and yields

Ingredient costs change often, and real yield differs from the recipe. Cost per unit is hard to trust.

01

Lots and expiry dates

Receive stock by lot, record the expiry date and see what must be sold first.

02

Recipes as bills of materials

Define each product as a recipe of ingredients and packaging, and produce it through work orders.

  • Ingredients and packaging per recipe
  • Work orders issue the ingredients
  • Finished lots booked into stock

Storage zones

Organise warehouses into zones, such as chilled, frozen and dry, and keep stock in the right one.

  • Transfers between zones
  • Stock overview by location

How it runs

One flow, start to finish.

  1. 01Buy ingredients

Purchase orders go to suppliers based on recipes and expected demand.

  2. 02Receive by lot

Goods are received with lot numbers and expiry dates into the right storage zone.

  3. 03Produce

A work order issues the ingredients and creates a new finished lot.

  4. 04Sell and ship

Orders are picked oldest expiry first and added to a delivery trip.

  5. 05Invoice and trace

The invoice is issued, and the lot record links each delivery back to its ingredients.

FAQ

Food & beverage, answered.

Can we track expiry dates?

Yes. Stock is held by lot with an expiry date, so you can see what expires soon and sell it first.

Can we trace a lot to customers?

Receipts and shipments carry lot numbers, so you can follow a lot from supplier to customer.

Does it support recipes?

Yes. A recipe is a bill of materials of ingredients and packaging, and production runs through work orders.

Can we separate chilled and ambient stock?

Yes. Warehouses can be organised into locations, so each storage zone is recorded separately.
