The challenge

What slows chemicals & coatings down.

01Batch identity

Every blend has a batch number. When a customer reports a problem, you need the batch, its ingredients and its recipients fast.

02Safety data sheets

Each product has a current safety data sheet (SDS). Documents are scattered and sometimes out of date.

03Hazardous storage

Products with different storage needs must be kept apart. The system should reflect the physical zones.

04Shelf life

Raw materials and finished products expire. Old stock should leave first, and nothing should be sold past its date.

01

Product records with documents

Keep each product with its specifications and current SDS attached, visible to sales and the warehouse.

  • Documents attached to the product
  • Variants for pack sizes
  • Attributes you define

Batches and shelf life

Receive and produce by batch, record the expiry date and sell the oldest first.

  • Batch number on receipts and shipments
  • Expiry date per batch
  • Stock lookup by batch

Formulations and production

Define each product as a formulation of raw materials and packaging, and produce it through work orders.

  • Multi-level formulations
  • Ingredients issued to the order
  • Finished batch booked into stock

Storage zones

Organise warehouses into zones, such as flammables, corrosives and general, and keep stock in the right one.

  • Locations by zone
  • Transfers between zones
  • Stock overview by location

How it runs

One flow, start to finish.

  1. 01Buy raw material

Purchase orders go to suppliers based on formulations and planned batches.

  2. 02Receive and store

Material is received by batch with an expiry date into the correct storage zone.

  3. 03Blend and fill

A work order issues the ingredients and creates a new finished batch.

  4. 04Sell and ship

Orders are picked oldest expiry first and delivered with the batch recorded.

  5. 05Invoice and trace

The invoice is issued and the batch record links each delivery back to its ingredients.

FAQ

Chemicals & coatings, answered.

Can we attach safety data sheets to products?

Yes. Documents can be attached to the product record, so sales and warehouse staff open the current version from one place.

Can we track batches and expiry dates?

Yes. Stock is held by batch with an expiry date, so you can see what expires soon and sell it first.

Can we separate hazardous and general storage?

Yes. Warehouses can be organised into locations, so each storage zone is recorded separately.

Does it support formulations?

Yes. A formulation is a bill of materials of raw materials and packaging, and production runs through work orders.
